HILLSIDE RESIDENCE
Design Objective
Designed as a true forever home in a welcoming, family-friendly community, this residence was thoughtfully planned to bring together everything on the homeowners’ wish list. The family set out to create a home that balances beauty, comfort, and function — a place where every detail supports how they love to live. Timeless design elements, quality materials, and refined craftsmanship ensure the home will remain as functional and beautiful for years to come as it is today — a true culmination of thoughtful design and family living at its best.
Project Overview
This family wished for a home that they could use for years to come, from the open, light-filled living spaces to the custom kitchen and inviting outdoor areas, each room was designed for both everyday living and effortless entertaining. The kitchen kick-started the design with light oak wood cabinets within a large footprint that accommodated double islands and a walk-through pantry. Windows flanking the custom plaster range created an open feel on the main feature wall. Storage was accounted for in other areas, including the black arched bar area. A central pantry links the kitchen and mudroom for easy access and flow, connects from the garage with ample storage. The main floor sees a large living space with stone and plaster fireplace, a guest bathroom and office.
The upper floor houses the primary bedroom with a unique faux fireplace as the main feature in the room. A large ensuite sits past an arched doorway and holds a freestanding tub with arched niche echoing other arches in the home. A walk in shower with LED strip lighting and textured tile create a stunning space. 2 kids bedrooms with a shared bathroom and access to the rental suite finish off the upper floor.
The basement was finished in a clean and simple manner with 2 more bedrooms, a rec room and golf simulator and bar for ultimate entertaining. These spaces reflect a focus on connection, leisure, and creating lasting memories at home.
